July 1, 2012 - MP Joy Smith Announces the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal Recipients

 

Winnipeg, MB – This year marks a historic and extraordinary occasion as Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II celebrates the 60th anniversary of her accession to the Throne as Queen of Canada. 

 

“It is my distinct privilege and honour to present this very prestigious award to those who have built, and continue to build a caring society through their selfless service to others,” said MP Joy Smith.  “On Canada Day I want to acknowledge these exemplary men and women whose dedicated contributions help create a vibrant community and a great country.”

 A fitting Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal awards ceremony, hosted by MP Joy Smith, will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at Eastview Community Church.  All are invited to attend this distinctive event featuring pageantry, photo displays, music, medal presentations and refreshments.  There will be free admission.

Raymond Dueck – Community Service -founding president Canadian LifeLight Ministries

Raymond Dueck founded Appledale Apartments seniors housing in Mennville, and served 20 years as Chair of Beaver Creek Bible Camp for kids in the Interlake.   His charitable service has always been an integral part of his life.

Raymond is a registered Inventor with more than a dozen patents; including worldwide patents. His brilliance is a God-given ability to identify a problem, invent the solution, and bring it to market, and then share his good fortune with others.  A very successful entrepreneur, Raymond founded the largest computer company of its kind in Canada.  After a 40-year business career, he continues to launch new ventures.  His business acumen provides families with jobs, and helps the economy flourish.

Today Raymond is the founding President of Canadian LifeLight Ministries committed to the free distribution of Bibles.  With more than 100,000 Bibles distributed, mostly to people who can’t afford them, the positive impact of the worldwide ministry is beyond measure.

This gifted humble man has made a huge impact on Canada by sharing his God-given gifts with others.  His charitable work leaves a lasting legacy.
